Winnie Holzman & Stephen Schwartz, creative founders of Wicked, were inspired by the 1995 Gregory Maguire novel "Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West".

This production has been PRAISED for its detailed backstory of Oz, giving The Wizard of Oz fans around the world a peek into Glinda and Elphaba (aka the Wicked Witch of the West). Wicked, even with its main characters starting off as enemies, it's a deep tale about acceptance and friendship. With stunning costume creation and jaw-dropping special effects, Wicked transports its audience straight to the wonderful land of Oz!

The show first premiered in 2003, making it 21 years old. Since its inception, Wicked has surpassed $1 BILLION in revenue on Broadway. Only The Phantom of the Opera and The Lion King have managed this remarkable achievement. Wicked has also DOMINATED theatres outside of Broadway, with records in Los Angeles, San Fransisco, Miami, and London.

Currently, WICKED is touring with actors Lauren Samuels as Elphaba, Austen Danielle Bohmer as Glinda and Blake Hammond as The Wizard.
